What this app is

arcai-study is a personal research tool run by one individual. It searches public Threads posts for topics the operator studies (AI coding tools, drone surveying and GIS, home lab infrastructure, startups, children's ministry content) and turns them into private study notes. It is not offered to other users and has no public sign-up.

What data it accesses

• The operator's own Threads profile (id and username), to authenticate.
• Public Threads posts returned by the Threads API keyword search and public profile discovery: post id, text, media type, media URL, permalink, timestamp, and the author's public username.

How the data is used

• Post text and media are read to write study notes and to index them for the operator's private search.
• Each note keeps a link back to the original post.
• The app does not post, reply, like, follow, or message anyone.
• The app does not build profiles of individual people, and does not sell, share, or transfer any data.

Storage and retention

• Data is stored on the operator's private server. It is not sold or shared, except with the service providers listed below that process it only on the operator's behalf.
• Downloaded images and videos are deleted after analysis. Text, links, and the operator's own notes are kept only while needed for study, and are deleted when no longer needed.
• Access tokens are kept in a password manager, never in plain text.

Service providers

• Cloudflare, Inc.: hosts this site and the login callback, and stores notes saved on the demo page.
• Anthropic, PBC: post text is sent to the Claude API to write private study notes.
• AgileBits Inc. (1Password): stores access tokens.

Requests from public authorities

If a public authority requests data, the operator will (1) review whether the request is lawful, (2) challenge requests that are not lawful, (3) disclose only the minimum data required, and (4) keep a record of each request, the response, and its legal basis.

Deletion requests

If you want any of your posts removed from this tool, see the data deletion instructions or contact the operator below. Requests are handled within 30 days.
